I have spoken and taught about sugar all throughout the many sessions I've conducted. Consuming sugar alot of sugar is detrimental to our health; however, it's not just the sugars we know, it's the unfamiliar sugars that are newly being added to our foods as "No Sugar", "Low Sugar", or "Sugar Substitutes" that is tricking us into consuming more than is necessary. Let's discuss one of those culprits.

Among these alternatives, alcohol sugars, commonly known as sugar alcohols, have gained significant attention. These unique compounds, which include well-known varieties like xylitol, erythritol, and sorbitol, offer a tantalizing blend of sweetness with fewer calories and a lower glycemic index compared to regular table sugar.
